Sunday
It was a nice day so I went for a hike with Candice from Pak Kung Au to Mui Wo.
Later that day I did a bunch of coding.

- Changed the opening dialog in level two

- Hiding most icons in level four.
- Created a generator for fan girl conversations
- Created conversations for level 3
Monday

- Reduced delays in sales script
- Converted JPGs to PNGs
Tuesday
- Took the day off and did an easy hike from Quarry Bay to Mount Parker. It was a very hot day.

At the end of level 3 plumpy appears with kiss marks on him.

Something happens when you pick the “Keep Talking” option in the fangirl chats.
-
A good day of coding. I went into the office and then went over to Lan Kwai Fong for a game developer meet up. One of the speakers runs a studio that makes Hentai Games. He talked about development, marketing and distribution, but he did not demo any of his games. Afterwards I got his phone number and asked where I could find his games. He seemed reluctant to tell me for some reason. Eventually I found them, I think. Haven’t tried them yet though.
I got a few people to play test “Customer Support Sim”. One guy really liked it and said it had a lot of potential. Another guy said it was pretty good. I demoed it to the room but people didn’t seem massively interested. Maybe it doesn’t demo very well, maybe it’s just not that fun. It’s very hard to figure out whether or not your game is fun. Especially since people will lie to you and tell you it’s good when it isn’t. That’s the nice thing about stand up comedy, you know when you suck.
I left the meet up and walked into Hong Kong’s largest ever rain storm. I wait an hour for the rain to stop. It did not stop. I then decided to walk through the rain before the trains stopped running.
Friday
Worked from home because many parts of Hong Kong were flooded from the mega rain storm.
- Improved failure events when talking to fangirls
- Fixed a bug when the user does not say hi to a ‘greeter’ user.
- “Yo” is now an acceptable greeting
- Normalised password request openings
- Created an ImageWindow, so users can zoom in on images from fangirls.
- Options should not disappear when a ChatWindow loses focus
Closing thoughts
At the end of last week I had four playable levels, and at the end of this week I have four playable levels. I think I need to make an effort to get the levels done quicker instead of tweaking them so they’re better. Lay down the big work, then do the small work? Maybe?
My goal this coming week is to get four level done. Not 100% done, but in a reasonably playable state.
